Loonees Comedy Corner proudly presents the 2nd Annual Colorado Springs Comedy Festival!
Last year, our inaugural festival held 9 comedy shows over 4 days, had over 1300 audience members laughing all night, and showcased the comedy of 40 incredible comics from across America!
What Are the Submission Fees and Submission Windows?
We’ll be running our early bird submission pricing of $15 through July 7th. Pricing will then increase to $20 from July 8th-July 22nd, then our final window will run July 23rd-August 5th. All comics, both those accepted and those who didn’t quite make the final cut, will receive notification of their festival status no later than August 12th.

What Happens If I’m Accepted?
Every performer is guaranteed 3 performance opportunities at the festival, with all three performances being at Loonees Comedy Corner, Colorado Springs' premier comedy club. Last year we sold out (ie we had to turn people away at the door!) 6 of the 8 shows held at Loonees Comedy Corner, so this year we’re focusing on fewer comics, and more stage time.
We’re also partnering with Oskar Blues, the official after party of Loonees Comedy Corner, for performance opportunities as well, but those will be in addition to the three guaranteed at Loonees.
Will Industry Be Present At the Festival?
In addition to the booker of Loonees Comedy Corner being present at every show, we're also working with bookers throughout the region, as well as Las Vegas, and Open Bar Comedy, for maximum exposure for all festival performers
What Material Will Work Best at the Festival?
Your funniest material! While we will anticipate having a roast battle and one specifically dark comedy showcase featured during the festival, we’re looking for the funny. If your cleanest set is your best set, submit it! If you specialize in dark comedy that is undeniable, submit it! We want to bring the funniest comics from across the nation to Colorado Springs, regardless of comedy type.
What Accommodations Will Be Provided to Selected Performers?
We’re partnering with Hotel Elegante for discount codes for all our out-of-town performers and will have Loonees’ full bar and kitchen available for all performances.
Will There Be Workshops, or Networking Functions?
The overwhelming feedback from our amazing comics in 2023 was fewer workshops, and at least one opportunity outside the club for networking, as well as two opportunities outside of performances to network with festival comedians.
Who Will be Headlining?
While we can't announce it yet, we're excited to be featuring some of the nation’s funniest (and our favorite) headliners, boasting credits from Comedy Central, Fox, and ESPN, just to name a few.
I Didn’t Get Accepted, Can I Still Participate?
Absolutely! We’ll be looking for volunteers over the next few months to assist in keeping the festival moving as smoothly as possible, but if you’d rather come out to simply enjoy the laughs, all comics who submitted into the festival will gain free entry to all shows pending capacity after tickets are sold.
Is There a Best of Fest?
Yes, and it's an absolute blast! Last year Mike Hammock took the inaugural crown after absolutely crushing a sold-out show. The winner of Best of Fest gets their own comedy special produced by our incredible partner, Open Bar Comedy, filmed at Loonees.
